The existing boiler was over 30 years old. While it was still just about doing its job, it was extremely inefficient and clearly nearing the end of its life. To make things more interesting, it had also been installed at a very impractical height — something we were more than happy to correct this time around.

The New Installation

We installed a Worcester Bosch 8000+ 30kW regular boiler, complete with a system filter and backed by a 12-year manufacturer guarantee. As part of the upgrade, the boiler was repositioned to a far more sensible location, improving accessibility and future servicing.

The new layout has left the surrounding walls and surfaces ready for the kitchen to be decorated before the B&B reopens for business in January. A small detail we enjoyed on this job — we neatly housed the system filter inside the boiler casing for a clean, tidy finish.

With a modern, efficient boiler now in place, the property is set up with reliable heating and hot water for years to come — and with significantly improved efficiency compared to the old system.
