At Tayside Gas Services, we recently had the pleasure of carrying out a full heating upgrade for a customer in Dundee — and the results speak for themselves.

The existing system was a standard-efficiency Worcester combi boiler, estimated to be around 25 years old. While it had served its time, it was no longer running efficiently, costing the homeowner more in both heating bills and reliability. Our goal was to bring the system up to modern standards with a highly efficient, reliable replacement.

The Installation

We installed a Worcester Bosch 4000 30kW combi boiler, one of the most popular and energy-efficient models on the market today. As Worcester Bosch Accredited Installers, we’re able to offer our customers a 10-year guarantee, giving long-term peace of mind and excellent value.

To enhance system protection and efficiency, we also fitted a system filter, helping to prevent sludge build-up and maintain performance over time. The installation was completed with a Hive Smart Control, giving the homeowner easy, remote control over their heating — and even more opportunities to save energy.

Radiator Upgrade

While upgrading the boiler, we also replaced an old radiator with a new Halcyon by Stelrad radiator, complete with a 10-year warranty and thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs). This not only improved the system’s heat output but also gave the homeowner better control in each room.
