Brief —
Our client in Amble by the Sea was experiencing persistent issues with overflowing gutters, damp patches along external walls, and signs of wear on the existing roofline. The fascias and soffits were outdated and deteriorating, and the original guttering system was no longer fit for purpose. They wanted a complete refresh to improve both performance and appearance, with materials that would stand up to the coastal weather.
Solution —
We began by carefully removing the old guttering and roofline elements, ensuring minimal disruption to the property. The new system included durable uPVC fascias, soffits, and deep-flow gutters designed to handle heavy rainfall and resist salt-air corrosion.
We also carried out minor roof repairs, replacing cracked tiles and resealing exposed areas of flashing. All work was colour-matched to suit the existing brickwork, and downpipes were repositioned for better drainage away from the building’s foundations. To finish, we installed a dry verge system to improve edge protection and give the roof a cleaner, more modern finish.
Result —
The property now has a sleek, low-maintenance roofline and an upgraded drainage system that performs reliably even during storms. The client was especially pleased with the improvement in appearance, noting how much sharper and more modern the house looks from the street. With better drainage and protection in place, the home is now ready to face the North East weather for years to come.
